My Markets
Since June 2023, I started to set up at markets to see if it was an avenue I could go down for the future of my business. I started with local and small events, the first year was very up and down to figure out where the best places will be to set up more permanently.
The year of 2024 was the best year as I knew where I wanted to go. I have a 5 day slot in Torquay Street Market and I have a pitch every 1st Sunday of the month in Newton Abbot, I tried Exeter Westpoint Christmas Market and found that you do not need to spend big money to get a good days sales.
In 2025 I have some new places to try that have great recommendations, Im very excited as I have enjoyed every market I have done, the customers, the venues and the atmosphere is amazing, Im so glad that Markets are becoming more favourable again. Lets keep supporting local and small businesses, let's keep the community alive.
Markets are a growing industry
I have noticed that markets are growing at a fast pace all over the country, not only with the traders but the customers also. The traders would not be able to trade without you guys! So much positive feedback and atmosphere are at all the markets I have traded at and look forward to expanding my horizons around the country
You don't have to spend big money to get great sales
I have worked both small markets and very expensive big markets, I found that you do not have to spend hundreds of pounds to get back a good pay packet. It turns out that the little markets can be just as rewarding at a pinch of the pitch price. become a regular at the little markets and you get returning customers that are happy to see you again
Market Awareness
The traders work really hard to bring customers unique and wonderfully handmade crafts. When you are at a market, please check every stall out, even if you're not really buying, become aware of the traders that are there. Pitching up a stall is mega hard work on top of the crafting and sometimes just having people interested in the stall means a lot. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES
Building back the community
Just remember that every market is full of very friendly stall holders. No one is pressuring you to buy but even buying the smallest or cheapest item makes a difference. Every time we support the smaller businesses, we are building the community. Supporting can be free! spread the word to friends and family that may love what the stalls have, share market days that you know of, everything helps.
